And members were delighted when their ‘Steptoe’s Garden’ exhibit - on the theme of recycling and reusing - was amongst the prize winners.

There was a brisk trade in produce and plants grown by members, under the shelter of the new gazebo, purchased with a donation from the Axe Vale Festival.

Volunteers from the Lyme Regis and Charmouth RNLI Guild also came up with a winning entry.

Their stall, organised by Brian Cursley, Gerry Hampton and her husband Peter, won the Best Presented Charity Stand award given by sponsors Axe Skips

The trio were presented with a certificate and a £50 cheque.
