Woman cut out of vehicle following Honiton collision

The incident happened in King’s Road shortly before 10.59am, and involved a car and a van.

Firefighters had to cut a woman out of her vehicle following a collision in Honiton this morning (Wednesday).

The incident happened in Kings Road shortly before 10.59am, and involved a car and a van.

Firefighters from Honiton and Ottery confirmed the woman was trapped and released her using hydraulic cutting equipment.

She was then taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital by ambulance with head and neck injuries.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said that the vehicles involved were a grey Fiat Punto registered to Honiton and a silver Renault Trafic van registered to Surrey.

The spokesman added that recovery of the vehicles was completed by 1.30pm.
