A WOMAN was fined over 200 in Axminster for parking inconsiderately.
Police were called out to Alexandra Road yesterday (Wednesday, September 16) because the car was blocking the road.
PC Darren Herridge said an ordinary vehicle could not pass, let alone a fire engine.
He said: "I would say to the public, please don't park so that you are restricting the flow of traffic.
"The yard stick we use is to see if a fire engine can get through. If it can't, we are perfectly within our rights to get the vehicle removed for causing an unnecessary obstruction."
She was fined 30, plus 150 for recovery of the vehicle and a 12 a day charge for the vehicle to be impounded.
