Women to drive tractor to Blackpool

FIVE women drivers will be taking to the road in a tractor and motoring all the way to Blackpool.

FIVE women drivers will be taking to the road in a tractor - and motoring all the way to Blackpool.The women are members of Honiton Young Farmers' Club and they hope the sponsored tractor run to their national annual meeting in May will raise cash for two worthwhile causes.The Laura Persey Trust Fund was set up in memory of an East Devon young farmer, who died aged 19. The fund provides cash for rural skills courses for young people. Also receiving some of the proceeds will be Cancer Research UK.Hamblys, of Bramble Hill, Honiton, are supplying a brand new Claas Demonstrator tractor for the run, but the women are keen to attract sponsorship from companies and individuals.To sponsor the women, call Jenna Rosewell on 07974942515.
