Work to start on affordable homes in Colyton

WORK on twenty affordable homes will start this month in Colyton.

WORK on twenty affordable homes will start this month in Colyton.Construction of the homes will start later in the year and it is hoped the project will be completed by September 2010.Wyvern Rural Housing Association, part of the Hastoe Group, is developing the project in partnership with Colyton parish council and East Devon District Council.Town council chairman Andrew Parr said: "We are delighted this project is moving forward. Local people are at the heart of the community and some of them have had great difficulty securing a home."At last, they will get an opportunity to rent an affordable home, stay in the town and continue to be part of our community."Local people will be invited to apply for the homes in 2010.
