ONE lucky Colyton kitten was saved from near death after she was dumped in a ditch and later rescued by workmen.Found by Highways Agency staff on the outskirts of the parish, the drenched kitten was dried on their dashboard - and so named Dash.New owner Sophie Webber, 29, from Cownhayne Lane, said Dash was one of many to be abandoned and is calling on people to treat pets more humanely. She said: "Dash is such a lucky kitten - she could have died. She's such a cute little thing. "There's no need for people to dump kittens when there are so many organisations to care for them. I rang the Cats Protection and they said others had been found."I want to make people aware there are places they can go with unwanted pets.
