A chocolate cake in the shape of a pair of yellow wellies won the Great Lyme Regis Bake Off competition on day three of the town’s Lifeboat Week.

The cake was baked by Kate Colley, wife of Mark Colley who is one of the helms of the RNLI lifeboat.

Second prize went to Hollie and Mili Sargeant for their cake depicting the lifeboat itself, and third prize was won by an entrant simply called Esther, for her cake depicting a lighthouse on a rock.

The cakes were judged by ‘Pam The Jam’ Corbyn, of River Cottage fame.

A special prize was awarded to the youngest baker, Charlotte Hunt, 10, for her Victoria sponge
