Junior theatre group members give Gilbert and Sullivan classic a new twist
A week long musical drama workshop culminated with a swashbuckling show by junior members of Colyton Theatre Group.
Led by Theatre Kidz it took place in August at the Reece Strawbridge Youth Centre, in Colyton.
The group members were joined by and other young students from the local area and throughout the week, they learned songs, dances and dialogue which came together to tell the entertaining story of ‘The Pirates of Nan’s Pants’.
They also made some of their own props. Families of the students were invited to watch the show on the final day, and all agreed that the week had been a tremendous success with a quality outcome.
Colyton Theatre Group welcomes new members, both juniors - from age eight and adults of any age.
Annual membership secures access to all workshop opportunities and information about forthcoming events.
