Village preschool sports day goes ahead despite the rain

COMPETITION was as keen as always when Stockland and Yarcombe Preschool held their annual sports day.

Spirits were not dampened by the rain and the children took part in running, egg and spoon, hopping, bean bag and animal races.

The toddler group also had a chance to join in before the parents were put through their paces in their own track event.

There were stickers for all after each race and a medal and certificate for each child at the end. The sports were followed by tea and cakes for the parents and well earned ice creams for all the children.
