Littletown Primary Academy pupils show off their skills at a gymnastics competition.

Young gymnasts from Honiton showed off their skills in their new leotards during a competition in Taunton.

The team from Littletown Primary Academy took part in the South West School’s Floor and Vault Gymnastics competition at Wellsprings Leisure Centre last month.

Pupils involved in the school council and gymnastics club raised the money for the new leotards by taking part in a sponsored row, which saw them travel a distance of 19.33kn.

For some of the children taking part it was their first ever competition - two girls’ teams were entered along with two boys who competed in the individual competition.

Team A finished in second place out of ten teams and Gary Daru finished third in the boys’ individual competition. The children have been trained by teacher and gymnastics coach Rachel Bodgin.
