AXE Valley Community Cadets have been re-enacting road traffic collisions to practice dealing with casualties.
The youngsters practiced first aid techniques of their group members, such as putting them in the recovery position.
Pc Steve Speariett said: "The cadets did very well and acted professionally, putting their skills to the test. We then went through the breath test procedure and cadets were able to carry out a test using the roadside breath test device.
"Once the scene was cleared up we returned to the hall to have a de-brief as to what was good and what could be improved."
Anyone who would like to join the cadets can find an application form on the police website or visit Seaton police station.
Those interested should be aged between 13 and 16 and live in a parish served by Seaton Police Station.
