Axe Valley Runners have made up for the absence of normal competition by taking part in a unique event that allowed them to explore the outstanding natural beauty of our local surroundings.
The Bath Half Marathon is usually held in early March, and so it was this year, but as a virtual event, where competitors ran their own 13.1-mile route and gave their times to the organisers.
Angela Kerr ran her race from Seaton to Axmouth 3.5 times and was really pleased with a sub-two-hour finish in the windy conditions, completing in 1 hour 57 min.
Sam Summers took in a little tour of the east Devon villages near Honiton, including Gittisham, Fenny Bridges, Feniton, Buckerell and Weston, before finishing at home just before the hail came down, taking 2 hours 55 mins.
Hopefully, the first tentative steps on the road back to normality.
