Seaton Tennis Club’s men’s B team were all-conquering on their way to lifting the Exeter and District Tennis league Division Seven title.
The squad, that comprised of team captain David Dower, club chairman Simon Prior, Chris Breens, Devon County veteran Dave Pillinger, Richard Warrick, John Lockwood, Geoff Copp, Matt Jobson and Pete Morton won 12 of their 14 league games and drew the other two to remain undefeated throughout the campaign as they chalked up a new league record points haul, 102 out of a possible 112.
Such was their dominance at home that they won all seven matches, losing just five games! They defeated Cranford, Exeter Golf and Country Club D and Teignmouth B all 8-0, saw off Kingsteignton, Dawlish and Woodbury 8-1 and also beat Bovey Tracey 8-2!
Seaton Tennis Club welcomes new members, adult and junior, of all standards. Contact the membership secretary at seatontennis@gmail.com for further details.
