Millwey Rise Reserves were 1-0 winners when they visited Tedburn St Mary, writes Dick Sturch.
It was certainly a dogged, hard-fought game, played in pretty adverse conditions both pitch and weather wise.
The score line remained blank at half-time and it wasn’t until 15 minutes before the end of the second that Mark Pike scored the winner for Millwey.
This was not Rise reserves at their best, but they hung on with a great display of encouragement from defender Stuart King and the non stop efforts of Mark Pike.
On Saturday (January 21) the team visit Amory Green Rovers (2.15pm).
