Storm Angus left a depleted trail across the region, but in the Lyme Regis November stableford, Division One, Keith Gibson was the only player to beat par as he stormed round with an array of wonderful shots to score 41 points.
Such was the splendour of the Angus game that he was the only player to beat par on the day. Trailing some way behind in his wake were Richard Jackman and Peter Beviss, both with 35 points.
Robin Hodges had a consistent front and back nine to win Division Two with 36 points, the second best score of the day, while David Binns beat Neil Smith on countback for second place both after both scored 35 points.
The weather had relented, but the aftermath remained for the ladies’ stableford Turkey Trot.
In Division One it was Diane Harris who took the honours with 29 points. The minor places went to Jane Dixon, second with 28, and Judith Williams was third with her score of 27.
In Division Two the ever-present Amy Mudford won with the top score of the day, 30 points, from Veronica Turner, 29, and Kathy Briggs 26.
The Junior Medal saw Lyme Regis junior captain Lewis Gibbons finish strongly to score an on par nett 71 and win, with Mannie Wellman, 73, in second spot, from Ben Prosser, 77.
