AVR member Paul Lloyd travelled to Portsmouth to take part in the Great South Run, writes Dave Mutter.
It was a great day; the course was nice and flat with thousands of spectators on the streets cheering and a fabulous carnival atmosphere with bands playing on most of the street corners.
The weather couldn’t have been better with hardly any wind and the sun shone for Paul who managed to run the 10 miles in 2:11:58 to finish 14,803rd out of 26,000 running the race.
