Cloakham Daggers won their final game of the County Super League season when they won 5-4 at Sidmouth side Clinton Arms.

The victory gave Daggers second place in the division.

There was a troubled start to the evening as half the Daggers team arrived at the Clinton Arms only to be told that the venue had been switched to Sidmouth Sailing Club!

However, this did not stop the Daggers who claimed success on the night thanks to wins for Merv Wackley (23.86), Vinnie Sweeny (20.65) and Mark Fisher (23.86) that put the Daggers 3-0 up. Clinton Arms fought back, but further wins for Dan Shakespeare (18.80) and Rob Millward (20.43) secured the victory along with the vital win bonus points.

The Player of the Match award went to Vinnie Sweeny sponsored by Fred Hansford Ltd.
