Feniton Under-15 continued their dominance of Division Two of the Exeter and District Youth League with an 11-1 mauling of hosts Pinhoe Sharks.

So far this season Feniton Under-15s have proven to be clinical in front of goal and their latest haul takes them to 96 goals for the season.

Pinhoe Sharks defended well at the start and it was not until the 10th minute that Stephen Lilley volleyed Feniton into the lead. Oscar Walsh doubled the advantage with a drive from the edge of area. A well-lighted Christian Whales corner was palmed into his own net by the Sharks glovesman to make it three before the impressive Wilf McNeillige – who starred all match long from central midfield – made it four. Walsh struck twice more to compete a first-half hat-trick and Feniton took a 6-0 advantage into the half-time interval. McNeillige and Lilley both scored again after the break before a Josh Cade cross was turned past his own keeper by an unfortunate defender. Sam Ayres struck with a clinical finish for the 10th goal and young Walsh netted his fourth to complete the scoring.

The one goal that Sam Gardner conceded – and he did well keeping a first half clean sheet, making a couple of smart saves, came early in the second half.

A century of goals before Christmas would be some feat and it will happen if Feniton get four in their meeting on Saturday with visiting Brixington Blues.
