Seaton bowlers had a quite past week with not too much action, writes Maria Johnson.
The week began with a Sunday four-rinks meeting at home to South Petherton.
There were two successful home rinks and two winning rinks for the visitors. The best of the home rinks was the one of E Backhouse, M Nicholas, P Grigg and J Allison who won 25-10. The overall team win was 81-73.
On Wednesday the Over-60s A team were unfortunately beaten by Hemyock, losing on both rinks.
Next up a friendly meeting with Chard that was played as a triples match.
Chard were the 64-55 winners and the best of the home rinks was the one comprising of N Stone, J Bellamy and J Miles.
Last, but not least, a Friday fixture that was a Two Counties League meeting with Honiton which was lost 85-61. The top Seaton rink was the one of A Mayhew, R Grigg, D Yardley and L Tooze.
