Crediton 8, Honiton 2 Honiton Under-11s fell to a heavy defeat on a rain-sodden Mid Devon pitch.
The home side looked far more comfortable on the slippery and heavy surface in the first half and went into the break with a 5-0 lead.
To their credit, Honiton kept plugging away throughout the second half and, despite conceding three more to a very good home side, scored a brace of consolations.
Matthew Ward and Becky Rose were the Honiton scorers.
Players who stood out included Laura-Beth Outram, who had another fine game in defence, as well as goalkeeper Oliver Turl, who made several excellent saves. Next up for Honiton is a January 4 game at Ottery St Mary.
