On the surface the captain versus vice captain match should be a fun outing between club members with no display of undue allegiance surfacing at all, writes Andy Wagner.
However, vice captain Ron Graham, in an unexpected display of generosity treated his team members to a chocolate bar before the games.
The divide was consolidated there and then and the matches became keenly fought. As it happened captain Dave Morgan treated his team to after match refreshment so the ‘treats’ were evened out, as were the matches with the end result being a draw, five games each.
