The mornings Play for the Gerry Hartley Trophy could not have been closer with no less than four players tied on 38 points with a fifth just one point behind, writes Andy Wagner.
However, to include as many members as possible into the quest for club trophies these games are designated all day competitions and so it was that A team stalwart Paul Coates was able to forge through with an afternoon round of 41 points off his single figure handicap.
In Division Two Brian Morrison with 38 points finished ahead of Fred Thomas and Dave Morgan on countback.
In Division One Paul Coates with 41 points finished ahead of Terry Dimond (38) and Ian Atyeo (37), Coates the over all winner on the day.
