Westlecot Bowling Club touring team visited Seaton Bowls Club and played a six rinks mixed game. Westlecot came out the winners after a really enjoyable afternoon. The final score was Westlecot 116 and Seaton 94. The top rink for Seaton was R Venn, R Sykes, M Johnson and S Rutter who won 31-16, writes Linda Stone.
On bank holiday Monday there was a club match between the ladies and gentlemen of Seaton. We played a game of five triples. It was touch and go as to whether the game would be played, but the weather smiled on us and the sun came out for a change. The ladies won, scoring 91 shots to the men’s 69. Top triple for the ladies was S Pike, A Carter and P Whitworth. The only winning triple for the men was J Bellamy, G Fullalove and J Allison.
On Tuesday afternoon Chardstock men came to Seaton to play a friendly triples match. Seaton won 72-52.
Seaton’s top triple was N Stone, K Miles and R Rowley who won 20 - 9.
Wednesday’s Ladies over- 50’s match against Shaldon Bowling Club was postponed due to the weather and will now be played in June.
