Honiton U10s travelled to Exeter Saracens for the Devon RFU tournament on
Sunday to play against 23 other teams.
Honiton equipped with an army of supporters and some great team spirit, ended up in second place after their group games and proceeded into the shield competition.
An easy quarter final win set them up with a semi-final against Cullompton which they won 5-0, with some outstanding defensive qualities shown by all. The final was then against a Newton Abbot side that Honiton had beaten earlier in the season. True to form Honiton triumphed 15-0 in a pulsating game and wild celebrations were enjoyed by both players and supporters. The boys received their medals from Exeter Chiefs’ Hooker Chris Whitehead.
