Leading up to the Cross-Country Championship event in Scotland, Axe Valley Pedallers’ legend Richard Gorst has had an impressive season.
Riding in events all over the UK, he has achieved many podium positions. The very strong results have now placed him an impressive third overall in the UK National Ranking.
At the Championship event, the best riders from all over the UK battled on a wet, muddy and incredibly challenging course. Gorst climbed well in the Scottish hills, managed his efforts on the technical descents and was very pleased to finish 9th on the day.
He says that the good results were only achieved with support and backing of three great sponsors; Ciclo in Colyton, a cycle workshop specialising in custom bike servicing, building and fitting. Vanilla Financial Solutions, Axminster, giving financial advice to individuals and businesses, and Argonaut UK, a specialist metal facade business in Southampton.
