On a visit by 14 Axe Valley Pedallers to Goren Farm, Stockland for refreshments, ‘Honky Tonk Man’ Rob treated everyone to an outdoor virtuoso alternative rendition of "Nut Rocker by Bee Bumble and the Stingers".
Jimmy Richards had a successful time trial ride at Buckfastleigh in the City Cycle Couriers 10-mile event, recording a personal best time of 22-05, a great result and worth the very early morning start.
A week later, he was off to the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales for a track racing experience day, starting with instructions, through to pursuits and finishing with a handicap race where he finished in top spot as ‘last man standing’.
The monthly Sunday club ride was well attended, with a dozen riders leaving the Filling Station at Colyford led by Andy on a perfect day for a scenic and not too challenging route to Broadwindsor for lunch, a day out enjoyed by all.
