Seaton Town Ladies put in a brave display before eventually going down to a defeat against Liskeard Women in their first ever FA Cup tie.
The sun shone down on a momentous afternoon at Colyford Road and Seaton, going into the game as massive underdogs against a vastly superior side in terms of experience, relished the challenge in the opening stages.
Seaton looked to hit their visitors on the counter, with Jess Hodge a constant threat and Jazz Wellman a menace on the wing, while Ella Richardson had a storming half at the back.
The reward for their positive approach arrived when Wellman opened the scoring to the delight of the Seaton faithful and they held that advantage until the break. Liskeard, however, came out firing after the break and, as Seaton tired, the visitors raced to a 5-1 victory.
A tough final result but a sensational day for Seaton Town Ladies.
