The indoor bowling season has started well for Honiton Bowling Club, with players making the adjustment to a very different challenge under the roof compared to being out in the elements.
In order that members can get to know each other, a social bowling match was held, followed by an enjoyable sausage and mash supper, proper winter food for the new campaign.
The first Indoor matches that Honiton members played against other clubs have been successful, starting with a Mixed Triples fixture played away against Exonia. It was a dominant display from Honiton, who came out on top, winning the match (76 - 33). Top rink for Honiton was E Richardson, J Mackintosh and G Osborne (34 - 9).
The Honiton Men enjoyed similar success at Madeira in a friendly match, again winning (69 - 39). Top rink was B Cursley, D Young and B Randall (30 - 12).
