Honiton Golf Club Ladies dedicated their latest stableford to raising funds in aid of breast cancer research and the scores reflected a great day on the course.
Janet Hughes won Division 1 with 41 points, just beating Linda Blundell and Caroline Bond. Sheila Palmer took the Division 2 price, with the minor places going to Janet Higgins, Lesley Farley, Carole Booth and Chris Pearce.
Six pairs took an American Foursomes format, where both partners drive and then play a second shot with their partner's drive before selecting one ball and playing alternate shots thereafter.
The outstanding winners, with 48 points, were Vera Richardson and Mike Delaney who clearly played very steadily throughout, achieving equal scores on the front and back nine. Second place, with 44 points, went to Georgie Hope-Edwards and John Harvey, who also achieved equal scores on the front and back nine.
