After the rain of recent weeks, the golfers at Honiton were finally blessed with some sunny weather for the Tuesday Mixed Drawn Greensomes and brilliant for the players to get back out on the course.

Greensomes works on the format of a two-player team. Both players hit a tee shot and the best is then selected for the second shot. Alternate shots are then played until the completion of the hole.

Despite the competition only being held over 14 holes, the winners, Jo Donmall and Paul Ritchie, managed an incredible 37 points and were presented with the Centenary Goblets.

Second place went to Cathy Uttley and Harry Lawrence with 34 points. Maureen Lawrence and Ian Jeeves took third place with 32 points.

Everything crossed for more dry weather over the next few weeks and some Christmas golf being possible on the Honiton course.
