The Tolchards Devon Cricket League delivered a fantastic 2022 and East Devon clubs were right in the mix throughout.

The Premier Division was an absolute classic, with a number of teams vying for the title right up to the final couple of weekends. In the end, Bradninch made history by winning the top prize, just pipping Sandford and Heathcoat. Sidmouth were seventh, with Hatherleigh and Plymouth the bottom two.

Exmouth CC will return to the top flight in 2023 after a brilliant campaign that saw the Maer men suffer only four defeats. They were pushed all the way by Plympton, who finished 11 points behind, while Budleigh Salterton played some great stuff to secure third.

Seaton had a brutal season, losing all 18 games to finish bottom, but Kilmington just did enough to avoid the drop.

Clyst St George and Tavistock were the top two in the B Division and Sandford 2nds won the title in C Division East, where the trio of Ottery St Mary, Exmouth 2nds and Sidmouth 2nds finished in mid-table. Upottery were sadly relegated.

North Devon 2nds stormed to glory in D Division East, with Budleigh Salterton 2nds achieving a pleasing fourth, just ahead of Feniton in sixth. Chardstock and Clyst St George 2nds were the bottom two.

Thorverton 2nds won E Division East, Honiton finished third, Ottery 2nds in fifth and Sidmouth 3rds just outside the relegation zone. Exwick won F Division East and Sidbury also secured promotion in dramatic fashion.

Culmstock and Kilmington 2nds took the top two places in G Division East. Seaton 2nds, Honiton 2nds and Feniton 2nds were all in the bottom half, while Exmouth 3rds went down. Final congratulations to Filleigh, winners of H Division East.
