Honiton Bowls Club are through to the next round of the Men’s County Triples after a tense victory. R Richards, G Osborne and S Coles won their match against members of the Mid Devon Bowling Club 17 - 15 in what proved to be a an excellent and tight game.
Honiton go on to meet a team from Exonia Bowling Club on October 18, 2023.
Three Mixed Friendly Triples matches have been played over the last week. The first away match was played against Exonia with Honiton winning 51 – 48. Top rink was D Hawkins, M Granger, G Osborne, 23 – 7.
The second match was played at home, with a strong team of bowlers from Isca visiting the club. The final score for the match was Honiton 51 - Isca 75. Top rink for Honiton was J Foxwell, C Keating, G Osborne, 18 – 12. A special well done should go to all the new players who were playing in their first Friendly match.
The final Friendly was a Triple match played away against Budleigh. The final score was Honiton 32 to Budleigh 42. Top rink for Honiton was J Hare, B Sherborne and J Sherwood, 25 – 8.
