It took until the last day of January before Honiton golfers could finally play on proper greens, not the frozen temporary ones that have been the only way to play for the last four weeks.
This week's Tuesday Mixed 14 holes greensomes competition was enjoyed by 16 players. Winners were Cathy Uttley and Peter Waters with a score of 35, and in second place was Georgie Hope-Edwards and John Ward with a score of 29. Well done to you all.
There was even a faint whiff of spring in the air over the weekend, as the sun finally emerged with a smidge of strength, and bliss for golfers, who enjoyed a Honiton course in tremendous condition for this time of year.
