The March Medals at Axe Cliff Golf Club were well attended and well played in the first week of the month when the weather was good but cold.
Richard Chambers in Division 1 won with a nett 69, followed by a relatively new member to the Seniors Richard Gibbons, and Dave Morgan.
You wont be surprised to learn that another Richard, Mr Bush, won Division 2 with a fine 68 but ,I have to say that he was lucky because I too had a 68, which should have been a 64, but for a wobbly finish. Chris Walker took third spot with a 70.
Richard's son, Harvey Gibbons, won Div 1 for the Men's Section with a solid 69, ahead of Matt Hall and Mike Cottam. Daniel Taylor won Div 2 with an 8 below par score of nett 62, with David Hales and Brian Waller taking the minor places.
