The Tolchards Devon Cricket League is appealing for kit donations to be distributed to those in need across the county.
The DCL website said: “We are looking for donations of good-quality cricket equipment that can be distributed to adult groups we are working with across the county, such as refugees and individuals seeking asylum, to allow them to get into cricket.”
Priority items include shoes/spikes, bats, pads, thigh pads and helmets, with the appeal forming part of the Lord’s Taverners Sports Kit Recycling scheme. Donations will be accepted until the end of April and the only request is for kit to be cleaned and items paired, such as gloves and pads.
Full details are available on www.devoncricket.co.uk with four collection points around the County, including the Devon Cricket Office at the University of Exeter Sports Park, Monday – Friday from 9am to 5pm, or contact alex.jopling@devoncricket.co.uk for out of hours drops.
