As the Indoor Bowls season draws to a close, the men from Honiton proved to be on top form again this campaign.

For the second year in a row, the Honiton Lacemen  team of Rob Russell, Steve Coles, Garry Osborne and Kevin Vernon retained the Men’s External League trophy having beaten the team, The Firm, from Madeira.

Honiton Ladies proved strong at the County Indoor Finals weekend, having enjoyed a good season, and they finished well with the following results:

In the County Pairs competition Honiton bowlers Carole Binmore and Sue Evans beat Carrie Partridge and Val Lander from Plymouth 22-15 In the  County Triples, the finalists were two teams from Honiton with Yvonne Rayner, Carole Binmore and Sue Evans beating the team of  Di Hawkins, Heather Chambers and Julie Grant 22-6

However, in the Champion of Champions, Sue Evans, having put up a good fight, lost to Pauline Howe from Isca 21-16 and in the 2 wood Singles Carole Armitage lost to Gill Grantham from Plymouth.

Honiton bowlers played a Mixed Friendly match away at Exonia  winning (56 - 48). Top rink: P McMahon, M Critchley, G Osborne. Honiton welcomed Ladies from Sidmouth to play a Friendly match with Honiton winning (54 - 46). Top Rink: R Hirons, J Mackintosh and R Barwick ( 25 - 18 )

To close the Indoor Season, the club held the Competition Finals Weekend,  the results of which were as follows:
