The early season at Feniton Bowls Club has seen an inauspicious start with both teams in the Men’s over 60s League losing.
The Hawks lost at home to Exonia B by 26-38, the winning rink was D Sanders, A Smith and R Smith 16-13 and narrowly away at Honiton A by 32-33, winning rink D Sanders, A Smith and R Smith 22-11.
The Eagles lost away at Axminster by 26-39, the winning rink was R Lovering, D Downs and M Sheen 17-13, and at home against Exonia C by 25-34, the winning rink was R Lovering, D Downs and M Sheen 16-14.
The mixed team narrowly lost a rain-affected friendly at Heavitree by 49-53. The only winning rink was V Murdoch, R North and R Lovering 14-7, with one rink tied and also lost at home to Lyme Regis by 82-87, winning rink was D Sanders, J Smith, R Lovering and A Kury 22-11 with one rink being tied.
