Congratulations go to the men of Honiton Bowling Club who have won the Devon Section 3 Mens Top Club Competition, beating Ottery (3.5 points to 1.5 points).
Steve Goodenough won 2 Woods match; Adam Dredge won 4 Woods match; Trevor Pipe and Tony Tooley won the Pairs match; Peter Baker, Ken Large and Kevin McCarthy won the Triples match, but Honiton lost the Rinks match.
Honiton now progress to play either Plymouth or IvyBridge in the National quarter final to be played at Honiton on August 5.
Honiton bowlers went to Taunton Vivary to play a Mixed Triples, winning 69 - 56. Top Rink: M Granger, M Parsons and J Willcox, 29 – 8. Bowlers from Honiton travelled to Ottery St Mary to play a Mixed Friendly match, with Honiton winning 64 - 61. Top rink: J Bartlett, I Dennison, A Hamilton, B Maynard, 24 – 10.
