Axe Cliff Seniors had an exciting and very close game in their annual Captain's Trophy competition and the winner was young Mark Wisby with an excellent score of 40 stableford points but only on countback from Bill Dearling and Ian Carvell.
Ian must be in form as he won the Mashers Roll Up last week with 41 pts and Bill also won the previous week again with 40 pts.
The Men’s Club Championship saw some great scores and our new champion is Andy Jeffrey. Despite stiff opposition no one could touch Andy 's unforgettable nett 64. However, 19 year-old Dan Hellier had a good go coming 2nd with a fine 67, just beating Dan Thomas on countback.
On the Scratch side of the Championship, our winner was Brendon Isaac with a gross score of 164, just winning by one shot, leaving Alan Kenworthy as runner-up with 165.
