Honiton Bowling club hosted bowlers from The local bowling clubs Budleigh Salterton, Feniton, Lyme Regis, Madeira, Ottery St Mary and Sidmouth to play in the Howard Cottrell Trophy match.
This competition is played in a round robin format match against teams from Honiton. Three teams were tied on 12 points, so a countback scenario saw Sidmouth and Feniton share the trophy.
In a mixed friendly, Honiton defeated Tiverton Borough 64 - 49. Top rink: C Foxwell, D Armstrong and J Willcox, 20 -8.
In the County Competitions, Sue Evans has now qualified for the National Championships at Leamington in the four wood singles. The Devon final will be played on Sunday at South Molton. Sue”s opponent will be Liz Smerdon.
However, Yvonne Rayner, Carole Binmore and Sue Evans lost in the last 16 of the County Triples and in the County Two Wood competition, Sue Evans lost in the quarter final to Nicole Rogers, 14 - 15.
