Honiton Swimming Club travelled to the Life Centre in Plymouth to compete in the annual "Firecracker Gala". It was a very busy couple of days with over 500 swimmers from across the South West competing.
Swimmers were chasing not only PBs and medals but, at this time of year, qualification times for the Devon County Championships are also on the agenda. Honiton swimmers performed brilliantly and all three were achieved.
Every Honiton swimmer set PBs in their races and Club Captains Ellen and Duncan continue to lead by example, somehow fitting swimming in around their studies and both brought back multiple medals this time around.
Alex and Julia also picked up medals. Qualifying times were achieved by several swimmers with George, Kier, Julia, Wilbur, Hamish, Duncan, Ellen and Isabel all hoping to represent the club in January. Honiton Swimmers are next in action at Plymouth's Christmas Gala later this month.
