Midweek Herald: Georgie Hope-Edwards and Andy Dawe win this month's Centenary Goblets

Being the last Tuesday of the month, Honiton’s Tuesday Mixed Group competed in the monthly drawn Pairs Greensomes, seeking to become this month’s holders of the Centenary Goblets.

These trophies were donated to the club in 1996 by Ben and Vera Chivers, specifically for this mixed monthly competition.

It was a relatively low-scoring event and the prize winners were separated by a single point.

Coming out on top was the pairing of Georgie Hope-Edwards and Andy Dawe with 35 points.

The runners-up with 34 points were Linda Blundell and Harry Lawrence.

This week's Friday competition was a combination of a monthly Stableford, the 6th and final round of the Winter Eclectic and the 2024 Seniors Masters.

In Division 2, the winner was Paul Webber with 36 points followed by Bill Phillips and Terry Walden.

Division 1 was taken by Simon Ruben with 38 points beating Rob Sexton and Tony Williams on countback.

In the Masters, the winner of the green jersey this year is Rob Sexton.
