In the leagues, the ladies' and the men's 'A' team continue to succeed. Barring a miracle, however, the 'B' team are still on that slippery slope back to Division 2.

The 'A' team managed all 10 points at home to Wellworthy 'B', despite a last minute hiccup on John Wells' rink when they dropped a six on the 20th end.

The ladies took eight points at Verwood in Division 2 of the Dorset League and, for a while, it looked as if it would be all 10.

One of the leads, on the Verwood side, was taken ill halfway through the match and, for the remainder of the game, the No 2 and 3 played with three woods.

This seemed to completely bamboozle Kathy Clissold's rink and they failed to score another shot after being eight shots ahead. Even after a reduction of 25%, the Verwood rink ran out narrow winners.

In the friendlies, Lyme ladies had a comfortable win over their opposition from Axminster whilst, further afield at Sidmouth, Lyme went down by three shots.

At the end of the match, the scores were tied. The dreaded extra end was played and Dorchester came out the victors.
