Whilst playing in a Round of the Winter League, Richard Gibbons, on a day off from his Garage business, achieved yet another Hole-in-one. I am reliably informed that was his third in his to relatively young golfing life.
The men at Axe Cliff Golf Club completed their Daily Mail Foursomes competition and Messrs D. Hales/ D.Hodder won with a very good nett 63, beating the strong pairing of A. Anning / J. Gait with a 65, leaving Seniors Stuart Mackie & Alan Morgan to take third spot with a fine 68.
We had a very good showing for the Seniors Monthly Medal. Terry Atkins won the Division 1 prize with a nett 68 on some hard and fast greens. Andy Hopgood also played well to take second spot with 72 and Paul Curtin came 3rd with a 74, just beating Bill Polley on countback. David Evans was best in Division 2 with a score of 70.
