First up for Axe Valley Pedallers is the invitation to take part in the evening 10-mile time trial events at Fenny Bridges - the course this year is slightly refined to make it flatter, which most riders will appreciate.
Events start on May 19, anyone is welcome, just turn up to take part.
Clive Heard and Nick Gaffney had a trip to Dartmoor on their mountain bikes for a 20-mile loop from Bovey Tracey, taking in the Grimspound bronze age settlement and super dry tracks with the occasional massive boulders and a somewhat challenging crossing of Clapper Bridge near Haytor.
Richard Gorst competed in the second round of the Southern Cross MTB event and reported that it was his toughest event yet, with top drawer competition in which he was pleased to be "near the pointy end" and mixing it with some really classy riders to finish an impressive 8th place.
