Devon County Football Association have teamed up with Age UK to host sessions for new players to sample walking football.
A unique small-sided version of the game, walking football was designed to attract older players to take up the game, or for those who have not played in years to get back involved.
As it says on the tin, walking football is the same as ‘normal’ football, but without the running.
The first taster session will be held at the Devon FA Club House in Newton Abbot on Tuesday, June 15 from 10.30am - 12pm and will be an opportunity to discover the benefits of walking football.
This is followed by weekly introductory sessions every Tuesday from June 22, also at Devon FA headquarters and from 10.30am - 12pm.
To book your place, call 0333 241 2340, and Exeter City Community Trust also hold sessions in walking football.
