The summer netball season has come to an end with Keeleys Angels champions of division one and Sidmouth Toucans champions in division two.
After the AGM there is a break until September when the winter season will resume.
Division One: Uplowman 38, Tip Top Trees Oaks 20; Nu-Heat Flames 43, Complete Meats 30; Keeley's Angels 31, Flamingos A 24; Conway Visions 29, KPF 28.
The race for the title came down to the last game of the season when the two remaining unbeaten sides met each other in the decider. Having led all the way through the season until last week, Flamingos A needed a win to become champions, whilst Keeley's Angels could be satisfied with a draw - as it was, the close game ended with a win for the Angels by 31-24 and saw them retain the summer title they won last year - with Flamingos once again having to settle for runner up.
Conway Visions had to work hard for their three points against KPF and just held on from a spirited KPF fightback, led by Michaela Sydenham, to hold on by 29-28. Jackie Ditchburn had a fine game in defence for them.
Two other teams also finished on 15 points like Conway - Uplowman thanks to a 38-20 win over Tip Top Trees Oaks and Nu-Heat Flames who defeated Complete Meats by 43-20.
Player of the season, Sasha Williams, once again caught the eye for Flames whilst Hayley ward was the relegated Meats' player of the night. Emma Truscott played well for the also relegated Oaks, whilst Andrea Britten was, yet again, the Uplowman star.

Division Two: Sidmouth Toucans65, CMC Birds 3; Bampton 33, St Mary's 19; ADP13, Flamingos B 33; Tip Top Trees Acorns 23, NAS Vehicle Repairs 30.
In Division Two both Sidmouth Toucans and Flamingos B needed a win to stand a chance of the title and Bampton and ADP were both in with a chance of promotion if either of the other two failed to win.
Flamingos B had led the table from the start and looked almost certain to be crowned champions. Sidmouth Toucans had other ideas as they stormed to a 65-3 win against CMC Birds. Vicky Tarr caught the eye for Sidmouth, whilst Julie McClean was the CMC pick. This gave Toucans a goal difference of +127 and meant that Flamingos B needed to beat ADP by a clear 24 goals. Although they worked hard, led well by Laura Harris, ADP denied them this size of win thanks to some fine play from Becky Totten. Flamingos, although victorious, had only won by 33-13 - a goal difference of +124!.
Bampton started the evening knowing they had to win - and hoping that ADP could deny Flamingos. Bampton did what they had to when they defeated St Mary's by 33-19, thanks to good work from Amanda Blackmore, whilst Rachel Edwards played well for the Saints. NAS finished their season well with a good win over Tip Top Trees Acorns by 30-23. Their win was inspired by Sam Ayres, whilst elegant Grace McKay was the pick of the Acorns.
