Flamingos A and Keeley's Angels both recorded comfortable wins over Tip Top Trees Oaks and Complete Meats respectively, whilst Wasps had a closer contest against Bo-Peeps who managed to get a point from their game and move to within a point of Oaks at the bottom of the table.
With Sarah Clark in fine form at GD for Flamingos, the Oaks' attack found the going tough and by half way Flamingos had a 21-6 lead. Although Stacey Salter worked hard at WA and then C for Tip Top Trees, they could not get back in the game and the third and fourth quarters saw the Flamingos increase their lead to end the game winners by 36-10.
Second placed Keeley's Angels kept their 100 per cent record when they faced bottom side Complete Meats, a team still looking for their first win of the campaign!
Angels started strongly with Rachel Keeley having a fine game and they were 13-3 up by quarter time. Nicky Vile worked hard for Meats, but they came up against an Angels side determined to maintain their winning ways and the game ended with a win for Keeley's by 42-18, leaving Complete Meats anchored at the foot of the table.
Defending champions Wasps kept their title hopes alive with a hard fought win over Bo-Peeps. In the first two quarters the Wasps were outscoring the Peeps by 2-1 so that at half way it was 22-11 to Wasps.
With Michaela Sydenham at GS for Bo-Peeps taking her chances well it was almost goal for goal in the third period so that, at the start of the final period, it was Wasps leading by 33-20. Nicky Field at C for Wasps kept them moving and although the final period was close the Wasps took the points from their 43-27 win, the Bo-Peeps having done enough to take a point.
Division Two: Sidmouth Toucans16, Met Office Weather Girls 42; JD Tyres 25, CMC Birds 5; Flamingos 26, Lyme Bay 7.
The Met Office Weather Girls moved back to the top of the table after their convincing win over Sidmouth Toucans, a defeat that ended the Toucans' outside chance of a return to the top flight.
With Jo Robbins in fine form at GS the Met Office were 24-5 ahead by half way, leaving the Toucans with an uphill battle. Jo White rallied the Sidmouth side and they battled hard to get back into the match, but the Weather Girls proved too strong and ran out winners by 42-16, a result that denied Sidmouth even a point for their efforts.
Flamingos B bounced back into the top two thanks to their fine win over Lyme Bay. This was a game of good defensive play with Abi Williams and Heather Beviss catching the eye for Flamingos and Lyme respectively.
At half way Flamingos were 11-5 up and Lyme Bay had the possibility of a point, but the third period turned the game fully Flamingos way as they moved 21-5 ahead before ending the game winners by 26-7.
The final game saw JD Tyres up against bottom side CMC Birds who were still looking for their first points of the season. Unfortunately it was another night without a point for them as JD powered to a 25-5 win thanks to good play at C from Tanya Broom and, despite the best efforts of the Birds' C, the splendid Ashleigh Logan.
