After a couple of weeks off and with the sun shining, the Honiton Dimonds travelled over the hill to Cullompton for this season’s return match.
With soft ground and a biting wind, Honiton U11’s boots seem to be affected, finding it hard to progress up the field and string phases of game together. However, midway through the first 20, the Dimonds found their feet, putting three tries on the board, causing the opposition problems with their strong rucking and running.
The U11’s continued to expose Cullompton’s weaknesses throughout the second period, however some of the Dimonds tackling techniques allowed the opposition to bag a number of runaway tries
The last 20 saw much more equal play with tries both ways and some good competition and structured rugby, and Honiton’s last play yielded a well-deserved try to seal a win 50- 35
Awards went to George H, George I and Immy.
