As well as those AVR’s running many were helping out with all the work required to stage this iconic event so superbly organised by Dave Thomas and his committee.

Thanks to them and of course the race sponsors Scimitar, East Devon Sports Therapy and General Injury Clinic who provided much needed massage at the end, Everys Solicitors, Tesco, Photo-fit.net, Axminster Tools, SAK Logistics, Quicks Engineering (SW) Ltd, Axminster, East Devon District Council, Devon County Council and Axe Skip Hire.

Special thanks to the 400 marshals who excelled themselves again this year, especially those that had to hang around in the final downpour. They were all singled out for praise by many of the runners. Thanks also to the landowners for letting the race go over their private spaces and to everyone who supported the race or helped in any way – we are indeed fortunate to live in an area where the whole community turns out to help.
